Team Sitzes would
like to announce that Jeri "Fist of Fury" Sitzes will be
defending her NABF featherweight title on March 16th, 2007 at
Florentine Gardens in
El Monte California. Jeri's opponent will be Jayla Ortiz
(12-8-4- 3KO's)of
Albuquerque, New Mexico.
There have been a host of articles
and message board discussions recently regarding females not
wanting to fight each other, for fear of "tarnishing" their
records. In light of that, Team Sitzes would like to personally
thank Jayla Ortiz for stepping up and stepping into the ring
with Jeri. This match should be a very exciting and competitive
fight showcasing female boxers committed to the true heart and
soul of the sport.
Team Sitzes worked in
correlation with The NABF in gathering names of boxers that made
claims they would want to fight for the NABF title in our quest
to find an opponent for this fight.
Team
Sitzes is looking forward to a competitive and quality year in
the ring in 2007. Jeri is working with Trainer Terry Washington
to bring her to the peak of her performance level. Most recently
she signed a Management Contract with Rizing Starz LLC, bringing
full circle the team Jeri needs to elevate her career to the
fullest potential.
