Bonnie Mann Returns to Ring
October 7, 2006

(OCT 7) Just over a year ago, Bonnie Mann from North Carolina announced her retirement from boxing.  Today, we have received an email from Mann reporting that she will be returning to the ring on October 27, 2006!

Mann told WBAN, "I am writing to inform you that on October 27th,  I am scheduled to return to the ring for either a 4 or 6
round bout. When I retired last August it was due to work restrictions and not the lost desire to box. I struggled immensely with the decision to retire not seeing any way of continuing my training. Now the opportunity has been provided to have that training time back."

"I am been back in the gym and feel confident with my progress. The weight is back down and I hope to campaign again at 154 lb.,  by my second fight. This one will be at 160-165. We are currently searching for an opponent. We had
one set but it looks like that may fall through. My team is still optimistic that we will still be on the card set for the 27th at the RBC Center in Raleigh, NC," added Mann.

WBAN to Mann, "Welcome back!"
