(SEPT 17) This week the American
Association of Professional Ringside Physicians (AAPRP) held their
conference at the Luxor Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. At the
conference the featured doctors, trainers, boxers, commissioners,
and the boxing community involved. On Sept. 15th, at the Awards
Banquet, Alex Ramos received an award for "Outstanding Contribution
to Boxing.”
Las Vegas Photographer Mary Ann Owen told WBAN, “I am meeting with
Eddie Mustafa of JAB for applications for the female boxers to
join.” Owen said that she would get an application for WBAN so that
those who chose to join could download it.
The AAPRP was created to develop medical
protocols and standards to ensure the safety and protection of
boxers.
