(JUNE 1) Today the press Conference was held for the Showtime card that will take place on Saturday, June 3rd, at the Thomas & Mack Center, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
 

On the undercard,  Christina Kwan, (cousin of ice skater Michelle Kwan), will be making her pro debut on the card.  She is set to fight Valerie Rix (3-0).  Kwan said at the press conference, that she would like to show everyone that females can throw straight punches.. and she would like to see more females on the undercards on major fights.

The main event will feature Jose Luis Castillo vs. Diego Corrales who will be fighting for the WBC lightweight title. Corrales (40-3, 33 KOs) will defend his World Boxing Council (WBC) lightweight title against former two-time champion Jose Luis Castillo (54-7-1, 47 KOs) in a rubber match to complete their epic trilogy.

The 12-round world title bouts will be co-promoted by Top Rank, Inc., and Gary Shaw Productions, LLC, in association with Caesars Palace and Wynn Las Vegas.

Other action on the card:

Darchinyan (25-0, 20 KOs) will open the telecast by defending his IBF flyweight crown against No. 8 contender Luis Maldonado (33-0-1, 25 KOs) in a terrific match-up of unbeatens.
