Brittany Cruz following footsteps of her aunt!

(MAU 11) Thornton High School sophomore Brittany Cruz is following the footsteps of her aunt, World Female Boxing Champion Terri “Lil Loca” Cruz.

Brittany will be representing Colorado at the Regional Jr. Olympic Boxing Championships in Las Cruces, N.M. next weekend in the 15-16 year old category at 125 lbs. Brittany is a two-time State Golden Gloves Champion at the 125 lbs. class for 2005 and recently 2006. She has been boxing for two years with a record of 10 wins and 2 losses. 

Last year Brittany was a Silver Medalist at the 125 lbs. class at last years National Jr. Olympics, this year she plans on bringing home the Gold Medal as National Champion at the 125 lb. class to be held in Michigan in June.  

To offset the cost of sending her to the Regional and Nationals.

Brittany’s Boxing Club Gym the “House of Pain” will be holding a benefit dinner for her this Sunday the 14th at Munnuca’s Bar & Grill located at I-70 and Washington St. right across the street from the McDonalds. From 2pm till 6pm.
