(JAN 30) The audience at the PLAZA THE TOROS in Cancun, Mexico saw a great, technical, exciting, beautiful fight between Kelsey Jeffries and the still WBC super-bantamweight world champion Jackie Nava.

Kelsey began very strong, dominating Nava and dictating the fight, Kelsey was the aggressive in the first three rounds. She was connecting Nava with a busy and very effective left hand.

In the fourth round, Jackie was attacking more and connected Kelsey with a very strong right hand, Kelsey went down and Nava gained confidence.

By the sixth and seventh Nava was fighting with speed and working, throwing to the head and especially to the body effectively and Kelsey was BOXING, moving his legs with nice and fine movements around the ring.

In the eight round, Nava got cut in the right eyebrow and Kelsey was imposing her pace and experience, by the last round Kelsey was dominating and showing her skills, she was moving side to side and she was very busy.

We saw a FANTASTIC fight! Final Scoring was 98-91, 96-94, and 96-93.

At the end of the fight – Kelsey’s face was clean—with some bruising. Jackie’s face appeared swollen, with black eyes, and the cut.

After the fight, Kelsey said, “It was a good fight, I thought it was the best fight of the night. I fought my heart out there. I can't judge the fight, that's not my job, my job is fight, that's what I did.”

Jackie said after the fight, “Kelsey is a very tough fighter, she hits very strong, she has a lot of experience, she can take a punch. At the beginning, I had a little trouble because I didn't know her style but later on the bout, I was began to figure out her skills, and strategy.”

Both fighters agreed in a rematch but Kelsey told me, “not in Mexico”, and Nava replied that wherever, she will get the victory.

Some of the fighters comments who gave their opinions about the fight, who were happily surprised, after the ladies’ performance.

PIPINO CUEVAS: “The blondie girl did a wonderful job, she was dominating the fight, she has great skills".

CHIQUITA GONZALEZ really loved Kelsey's style: He said, “She really fought a great fight, I think that they fight much better than some men, Kelsey's job was excellent".
