Rivers has made South Florida her home since 1994 --started her
boxing/modeling career here where she has gotten great support from the
fans and media --she now has 21 fights and holds the IBA cruiserweight
title and will be fighting on Saturday, November 5th, in Pompano
Beach, Floriday, for the WIBF world lightheavy weight title --Against
Valerie "the wolfe" Mahfood the current champion -one of the top
champions --who just lost to the super middle weight champ Leila Ali
----Kathy is training with Olympic champion Howard Davis and is happy to
get the opportunity to fight in front of all her friends and fans for a
world title here at home --at the beautiful Club Cinema in Pompano Beach
on Federal Hwy just south of Sample Road.
The undercard will feature; Francisco Polacios 7-0, Eromosele Albert
12-1, Felix Cepeda 4-0, Sergio Garcia 4-1, Terry Lantz 8-4-1, Mario
Galan 3-1, and John Jackson 2-0. South Florida fight fans will have the
honor of meeting the legendary Julio Cesar Chavez as he joins Jeff
Gibson and ELITE PROMOTIONS in putting the "BATTLE AT THE BEACH IV" on
Azteca television. Doors open at 6:00 and the first fight begins at 7:00
