(OCT 20) SHREVEPORT - Mike Corbell’s Knockout Promotions of Shreveport in conjunction with The Shreveport Petroleum Club is staging an outstanding professional boxing card for its members and guests to be held Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at 7:30 P.M. Attendance to this gala boxing event will require all guests to wear formal attire. Tickets will range from $150 each for members and $175 for non-members. There will be an open bar and heavy hors d’oeuvres with doors opening at 6:30 P.M. Valet parking will be available.

Matchmaker Beau Williford has produced an exciting card with one of his boxers, Kasha Chamblin, the undefeated action packed featherweight female from Lafayette, LA by way of the U.S. Marine Corps taking on Tasha Ferguson who is making her professional debut.

Heading up the card will be Kerry Daigle’s outstanding Keeppunching Boxing Stable with Daniel “No Time for Tomorrow” Garcia (5-3-1) from Houston, Texas taking on Tafari Beard of Baton Rouge, LA. Garcia is known for his punching ability and can end a fight any moment with one good well placed left hook. Daigle will also have junior welterweight Jeremy “The Crusader” Duplechain, the amateur sensation with a 3 win-1 loss professional record from Lawtell, LA who compiled an impressive amateur record of 102 wins against only 3 defeats with numerous national championships.

Daigle’s feature fighters on this show will be Blake “The Candyman” Prevost, the co-main event, also from Lawtell, LA, an undefeated light-heavyweight (6-0-1) against veteran Charles Daughtry of Mobil, Alabama with 46 professional fights under his belt who has fought top name main eventers. The “Candyman” was the former U.S. Marines Middleweight Champion in 2002-2003 and the U.S. Marines Heavyweight Champion in 2004 as an amateur and was also an Under 19 National Champion with over 230 amateur fights. Prevost is a boxer-puncher whose hand-speed may be the best in the light-heavyweight division in the last 15 years.

The main event will feature Bobby “The Bayou Bomber” Aucoin (14-0-1) against South Carolina’s Booker Mullins, a young pugilist with fire in both hands. Aucoin is action packed and has some of the most exciting fights in Louisiana these last two years taking on tough competitors and is a pugilist many boxing observers are watching closely. Aucoin is best known as a tremendous body puncher who put pressure on his opponents from bell to bell.

Prevost, Aucoin, and Duplechain are known for fighting on cards in Louisiana that sell over 5000 seats in south Louisiana due to their personalities, fighting abilities, and tremendous fan base.

Tickets can be purchased by calling Amy McKinney at the Petroleum Club at 318.425.4251. Publicity will be by The Keeppunching Companies, Kerry Daigle, President and can be reached at 337.662.6824. Event Coordination and the promoter of the event will be Mike Corbell, President of Knockout Promotions. Official weigh-ins will be Monday, October 24th at 5:30PM.
