Mike Corbell’s Knockout Promotions of Shreveport in conjunction with The
Shreveport Petroleum Club is staging an outstanding professional boxing
card for its members and guests to be held Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at
7:30 P.M. Attendance to this gala boxing event will require all guests
to wear formal attire. Tickets will range from $150 each for members and
$175 for non-members. There will be an open bar and heavy hors d’oeuvres
with doors opening at 6:30 P.M. Valet parking will be available.
Matchmaker Beau Williford has produced an exciting card with one of his
boxers, Kasha Chamblin, the undefeated action packed featherweight
female from Lafayette, LA by way of the U.S. Marine Corps taking on
Tasha Ferguson who is making her professional debut.
Heading up the card will be Kerry Daigle’s outstanding Keeppunching
Boxing Stable with Daniel “No Time for Tomorrow” Garcia (5-3-1) from
Houston, Texas taking on Tafari Beard of Baton Rouge, LA. Garcia is
known for his punching ability and can end a fight any moment with one
good well placed left hook. Daigle will also have junior welterweight
Jeremy “The Crusader” Duplechain, the amateur sensation with a 3 win-1
loss professional record from Lawtell, LA who compiled an impressive
amateur record of 102 wins against only 3 defeats with numerous national
championships.
Daigle’s feature fighters on this show will be Blake “The Candyman”
Prevost, the co-main event, also from Lawtell, LA, an undefeated
light-heavyweight (6-0-1) against veteran Charles Daughtry of Mobil,
Alabama with 46 professional fights under his belt who has fought top
name main eventers. The “Candyman” was the former U.S. Marines
Middleweight Champion in 2002-2003 and the U.S. Marines Heavyweight
Champion in 2004 as an amateur and was also an Under 19 National
Champion with over 230 amateur fights. Prevost is a boxer-puncher whose
hand-speed may be the best in the light-heavyweight division in the last
15 years.
The main event will feature Bobby “The Bayou Bomber” Aucoin (14-0-1)
against South Carolina’s Booker Mullins, a young pugilist with fire in
both hands. Aucoin is action packed and has some of the most exciting
fights in Louisiana these last two years taking on tough competitors and
is a pugilist many boxing observers are watching closely. Aucoin is best
known as a tremendous body puncher who put pressure on his opponents
from bell to bell.
Prevost, Aucoin, and Duplechain are known for fighting on cards in
Louisiana that sell over 5000 seats in south Louisiana due to their
personalities, fighting abilities, and tremendous fan base.
